"All students can learn and succeed, but not on the same day in the same way."
- William G. Spady
A little bit about Miss Nicole Jones
As a young girl I loved playing "school," so you can say I have had it in me to be a teacher all along. I was born and raised here on Oahu where I attended a private Catholic school. I am a graduate of Chaminade University and received my Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education and minor in Psychology. Helping the Earth by going green and taking care of God's creations is what I love to do. This will be my second year teaching and I can tell already that it is going to be fantastic!
My Belief
I believe that students are the teachers too. A teacher can learn just as much from a student as a student can learn from their teacher. My idols, which my entire educational philosophy revolves around, is Dr. Harry Wong and the Kagan's. A teacher’s job is to help their students succeed in their classroom and thus succeed in real life, becoming a contribution to society. In order to do this one must learn how to work both independently and cooperatively. I love to learn and want to instill and maintain a love of learning in all my students.
